Steven Hernandez

Steven is an electrical engineer and entrepreneur.  He graduated from the University of Akron in 2009 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He has founded 3 companies since then and enjoys running them. Steven loves golfing, reading, and music.  Though some might find it extreme, Steven would love to skydive again as he found it one of the most exhilarating experiences of his life. Steven considers himself an Ohio State fan as well as a Texas and Kentucky fan when his wife is around. Steven and his wife, Laura, reside in Lewisburg, WV with their pug, Bailey.

Laura Hernandez

Laura is a medical student at WVSOM. She has two degrees from the University of Akron (UA), a B.S. in Biology (2008) and an M.S. in Nutrition (2010). As an undergraduate, she played Division I tennis and as a graduate student, she worked with the UA athletics teams while specializing in sports nutrition.

Laura is a big sports fan and enjoys rooting for the Kentucky Wildcats, Texas Longhorns and Cincinnati Reds, among others. After finishing up four years of collegiate tennis, Laura became an avid runner and has completed two marathons thus far. Along with her husband, Steven, she is a proud “parent” of a pug, Bailey.
