How It Works

I-Contribute is an innovative way of lending money to students who need financial help with the costs of college, like tuition and student loans. To assist a student, our contributors search through profiles of students seeking aid and chooses the one they believe shows the most promise for success in society. The contributors may choose a student attending the school they graduated from, someone in their field, or an athlete in college. Anyone can now be a contributor, funding the future of our society by helping students with higher education expenses using I-Contribute.


Step 1:

For $5.00 per year a student gets to build a profile page on which they can display their education and work background that contributors can search. I-Contribute supplies whatever information the contributors need to make their choice of which student to help. Students and contributors may also request or volunteer information as needed.

Step 2:

Our contributors are the reason this organization is around, so we are always looking for new people to contribute.  Our second step is where our contributors or potential contributors create their account.  You can start with as little as $5.00 like our students, to as much as you can think of.  Once a contributor on our site the search for a recipient can begin.  There are two options to search for a student, our contributors can browse the individual student’s profile or perform an advance search to find specific people, including family members or just students who appeal to them.

Step 3:

When a contributor has found the student they would like to assist with student loan or tuition assistance, they can click the "contribute" button, enter an amount of contribute from their I-Contribute fund and the rest will be handled by the I-Contribute team. When the balance dips, the contributor can simply add additional contributions to their account and search for more students to help.

Step 4:

This step is done behind the scenes by the I-Contribute team. To make sure the contributions made to our students goes to paying down students loans or tuition, I-Contribute makes sure no contributions are sent to the students.  There is a lot of administrative work involved in the process, but I-Contribute handles all of it. This takes place twice a month and all the students that receive a contribution to their loan or tuition accounts will be notified by email.
